Moranbah and District Support Services (MDSS) is a small not for profit organisation that is funded through the Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services which serve the communities of Moranbah, Dysart, Clermont, Coppabella, Middlemount, Nebo and Glenden. MDSS services are provided by a professional staff and volunteers. The professional staff consists of a Neighbourhood Centre Program Worker, Rural Family Support Workers, Connecting Communities Coordinator and BMA Settlement Officer, which are overseen and supported by a Voluntary Management Committee. We strive to support and assist all individuals, families, groups and organisations who seek assistance through the rural family support service, community support service or the settlement officer program.
Moranbah and District Support Services (MDSS) is managed by a Voluntary Management Committee to ensure that community needs are met. The primary role of the MDSS Management Committee is to provide guidance, identify, support and oversee effective governance of the organisation. The committee ensures that approved projects, programs and resources align with the organisation's objectives and provide appropriate due diligence.
